It would be nice to have the staff be a more proactive approach on communication with the family. In this report the name of a registered manager appears who was not in post and not managing the regulatory activities at this location at the time of the inspection. Their name appears because they were still a registered manager on our register at the time.We carried out this inspection following concerns about people's care, treatment and wellbeing. During this inspection we were helped by a tissue viability and a dietary specialist. There was an effective quality and assurance system in place which allowed for oversight and identify areas of improvement of the care and support provided. People, relatives and staff were asked for their feedback about the service and this feedback was used to improve the quality of care provided. The registered manager investigated all incidents and complaints, and used the lessons learned to improve the service.
I wish they would have more of a consistent driver available to assist the residents with transportation. Housekeeping, changing of linens, utilities , apartment, laundry all the meals, and care are included in the monthly fee. There are choices and my loved one feels all the food has been delicious. There was a strong consensus of opinion that they were making positive changes to the service that would benefit people who used the service. This was an unannounced inspection which took place on 22 November 2018.
