The home is a large two storey building which is equipped for people with a disability. There are other facilities which offer much more medical care on site and costs much less. My loved one is checked on every 15 minutes day and night, showered more times a week and clothes are washed frequently and hung up nicely and not crammed in the top of her closet. There's to many positives with the facility my loved one is in to include in this review .

People using the service did not always receive the care and support they needed. We observed staff were courteous to people, however we saw a person being helped to move in an unsafe way. People did not always get the help they needed to minimise the risk of developing pressure ulcers. We saw some people who needed pressure relieving aids did not have all the equipment they needed and positional changes were only monitored when in bed. At times staff were rushed and we had to prompt staff to help a person with their continence.

Recent Progress at the Keys House…

I think i would paint the ceiling leaving the beams wood tone. Although i love the ceilings, personally I need things to be brighter. The house is just beautiful, can’t wait to see everything completed. Upstairs-I would extend the bathroom wall for bedroom #4 so the door is at the end of the hall.

Little has happened at the Keys house in recent months, but that is beginning to change.
